MADISON Product Range

Level Switches and Level Sensors
Madison Company's comprehensive line of level sensors includes single- and multi-point level switches, continuous level and conductivity sensors, non-contact sensors, optical level detection switches and more. The wide selection of materials offers reliable and durable level sensors for all liquid environments, as well as a full range of other application conditions. Madison engineers can incorporate temperature sensors into level sensor designs, offering combination sensing and cost savings for many applications.

Hermetically sealed reed switches

Various models operate at temperatures ranging up to 300°C

Units available to withstand pressures up to 500 PSI

Electronic controllers, relays and converters can be provided

A variety of standard floats are available

Switches available for use in harsh environments

PTFE switches available for high-purity applications

Ultra-low-level switch designs are available for monitoring very low liquid levels

Adjustable switch height feature is available for tank applications with slight changes in the level at which the switch signal is needed and to accommodate multiple tank designs or conditions

P Series Proximity Sensors
Madison Company's P Series proximity sensors use reed switch-based technology, which offers reliability of up to 5 million cycles. Offered in both plastic and metal housings, these proximity sensors are interchangeable with existing sensors of similar characteristics or can be designed specifically for individual application needs.
These noncontact sensors are available with single pole double throw switches (Form C), or Form A and B. They offer a variety of ways to sense the relative position of specific machine elements requiring continuous monitoring. Several different fabrication materials can be used. Materials are selected based on the application environment. The standard operating temperature range is from -40°C to 125°C (-40° to 257°F).
Sensors can be ordered in sets containing the sensor, the actuator and hardware, or the components can be ordered separately. These cost-effective sensors are offered in standard designs and engineered designs with various actuation points.

T Series Temperature Sensors
Madison Company has been incorporating temperature sensors into its level switch products for nearly 50 years. With this temperature sensor experience, a basic standard product line has been established to complement our capability to design and manufacture application-specific sensors.

Type K, J & T Thermocouples for use in measuring environmental temperatures in industrial applications from engines and ovens to dishwashers and heaters.

RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors) provide a change in physical parameter, such as resistance or output voltage, that corresponds to a temperature change. Used in a multitude of process, food and HVAC applications.

Madison-Omni® RTD Temperature Sensors provide the accuracy of RTD sensors with the easy-to-use convenience of the user-programmable Madison-Omni® display interface.

Thermistors (Thermally Sensitive Resistors) are used in a wide variety of process, food and HVAC applications, and they are offered with a choice of elements and insulating materials, providing the user with a range of values and accuracies.

Bimetal Thermal Switches can be designed as a stand-alone temperature sensor or combined into liquid level switches.
